Ghayyoor Obaid Architects (GOA) was approached in March 2022 to design Lyallpur Galleria III, a premier mall envisioned as the centerpiece of a larger urban development in Faisalabad. The development encompasses a mix of uses, including offices, apartments, retail spaces, and a hotel, with the mall serving as its crowning jewel.
GOA's involvement began with the master planning of the entire development, laying the groundwork for a cohesive and integrated urban fabric. A significant component of the project was the complete architectural design of the 500,000-square-foot mall, which features a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, banquet halls, a fitness club, and a dedicated play area for children. The design emphasizes both functionality and an elevated user experience, ensuring that each component contributes to the mall's identity as a premier destination.
Construction began in November 2023 but faced slowdowns due to economic challenges, underscoring the resilience required to navigate complex market conditions. Despite these hurdles, the project reflects GOA's ability to deliver innovative designs that respond to client aspirations and evolving urban dynamics.
